Rong Guang held a microphone in her hand, walking from below the stage as if treading on a floor of starlight.
She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but the four members of NO.1 seemed to have subtly placed her in the very center this time. Not only that, but after getting on stage, Duan Nong, Tang Shi, and Yi Chun all took a synchronized half-step back.
Rong Guang froze, subconsciously glancing back.
Duan Nong winked at her. Hand in hand with Tang Shi and Yi Chun, she gave Rong Guang a very sweet smile, then turned her head and gave a slight shrug.
The large screen behind them was a vertical assault on everyone’s vision, and Rong Guang could hear countless group fans screaming wildly from below the stage.
“Ahhh, my babies’ team spirit is exploding! Mama loves it!”
“The rumors of discord are broken! Star Cluster, you have no heart! You buried a group of stars that should have shone brightly!”
“My daughter is making me proud! A true leader!”
“Rong Guang will shine brightly forever—!”
This last sentence was shouted with the most uniformity.
Rong Guang followed the sound and looked over. In her sea of pure white light sticks, the girls and… male fans in the very front row were all wearing wedding dresses.
She froze for a moment, looking somewhat bewildered at the dark expanse of the audience, which was twinkling with countless fluorescent support signs. She pursed her lips.
She raised the microphone to her lips.
A brief moment of feedback from the microphone sounded.
Rong Guang tilted her head, her eyes curving slightly into a smile. She raised a hand and then lowered it.
The sea of people gradually fell silent.
Rong Guang said softly, “Thank you, everyone.”
After a small stir of excitement, the entire venue returned to quiet.
Rong Guang finally began to speak, her voice gentle. “Today is our NO.1’s graduation ceremony. Thank you all for staying with us through thick and thin, accompanying us through three springs, autumns, winters, and summers…”
Sitting on the platform, Chu Feiliang could see the undisguised adoration and love on the youthful faces below without even needing to stand up.
It was the most sincere emotion one could have for their idol, and in this moment of their final stage, it was all unleashed without reservation.
Her gaze lingered for a moment on the group below wearing white wedding dresses, then she retracted it without a trace.
Chu Siyue chuckled lightly, resting her chin on her hand. “You don’t have to be jealous. That was organized by Rong Guang’s fan club. The main person herself probably doesn’t even know—they said that at Rong Guang’s graduation ceremony, they wanted to marry Guang.” Chu Feiliang rubbed her arms, saying expressionlessly, “That’s disgustingly cheesy.”
Chu Siyue looked at her and pouted. “So stubborn.”
Chu Feiliang ignored her.
After a moment, listening to Rong Guang’s opening remarks, she curled her lips slightly and said, “They want to marry Guang once, but I…”
Chu Siyue looked at her, raising her chin slightly.
Chu Feiliang finally stretched her limbs again, slowly settling back into her seat. She smiled and said, “I want to completely possess Guang.”
The corners of Chu Siyue’s lips turned up, and she laughed out loud as well.
The two sisters glanced at each other, both seeing the disdain in the other’s eyes.
Chu Siyue: Pfft.
Chu Feiliang: Pfft.
The brief opening remarks quickly ended. Rong Guang rejoined the group, and the four of them stood at different, staggered positions. Amidst a new round of screams from the fans, the venue lights finally dimmed.
Chu Feiliang looked left and right, then picked up her dress, snatched the director’s small stool from the corner, and brazenly sat down at the very front.
Xu Mingli couldn’t help but smile at the sight.
The four girls on stage had already taken their positions. Xu Mingli squeezed Chacha’s hand and said, “Which one is it? Is it that one in the front?”
Chacha nodded and leaned close to Xu Mingli’s ear. The venue was so loud that she had to shout, “Yes, Grandma, it’s that pretty older sister!”
Xu Mingli’s gaze flickered between Chu Feiliang and Chu Siyue for a moment, and she couldn’t help but sigh, “They’re all so stunningly beautiful.”
“Aren’t they just!” Grandma Chu had long since noticed this woman sitting close to her, who seemed to be around the same age. Hearing her mention Chu Feiliang and Chu Siyue, she couldn’t resist sidling up to her.
Xu Mingli’s eyes twinkled, and she smiled.
She gave Chacha a look.
Chacha immediately stood up and gave her seat away.
Grandma Chu graciously accepted and sat down.
After standing up, Chacha scratched her head.
She was a little lost as to where to go. Although there were seats nearby, they were all next to people she didn’t know. She didn’t want to be too far from Xu Mingli, partly because she was worried, and partly because she didn’t want to sit with strangers.
The moment she turned her head, she saw Chu Siyue, who was watching the stage with a faint smile.
Chacha’s eyes lit up. She looked down at the overalls she was wearing—Doraemon’s overalls are green, but she had managed to find a shop that sold a pink pair. The color was a pale pink, similar to the color of Rong Guang’s outfit for the final song, so Chacha had worn it, hoping to take a photo with Rong Guang at the end.
It was what you’d call a matching sister outfit.
She just hadn’t expected that the pretty older sister in front of her was wearing a very similar color. And there was no one sitting next to her.
Chacha’s eyes sparkled. She skipped over, gently tugged on Chu Siyue’s sleeve, leaned close to her ear, and shouted, “Sister, can I sit next to you?”
Chu Siyue turned her head, an eyebrow raised, her eyes filled with endless charm. She smiled and nodded. “Go ahead.”
Chacha’s little face was flushed with excitement. Her whole body felt warm as she sat down next to Chu Siyue. She thought to herself that this older sister looked so beautiful with her bright red lipstick that she hardly dared to look at her directly.
On stage, a song came to an end.
All the lights converged on a single point. The moment the final note ended, Rong Guang sprinted forward a few steps and, using the knees of her three groupmates as a brace, launched herself forward into an extremely high and difficult no-hands aerial flip.
The entire venue instantly erupted in screams.
“Ahhhhh! My baby is so amazing!! Mama loves you!!!”
Waves of frantic ‘ahhh’s nearly pierced everyone’s eardrums.
The smile on Rong Guang’s face was bold and brilliant, filled with undisguised pride and a strong sense of purpose, aimed straight at the viewing platform high up on the second floor.
She knew that was where Chu Feiliang was.
Then, Rong Guang’s lips curled slightly. She smiled, revealing a set of pearly white teeth, turned her head towards the platform, and gave an especially big WINK.
The venue was silent for less than three seconds before another wave of screams, loud enough to tear the roof off, erupted.
On the platform, Chu Feiliang gripped the railing. She felt an almost overwhelming impulse to rush down to the stage, pull Rong Guang into a tight embrace, and hide this enchantress who was making countless people scream and shout, so that only she alone could see her.
