OFCC – Chapter 90

After a day of sightseeing, they returned to the hotel, and Mu Yanxi was the first to go into the bathroom for a shower.

The circular bathtub with its marble finish, while not as exquisite as the one at home, was by no means inferior. She lined it with three layers of disposable tub covers and was just dropping in one of her usual bath bombs, letting the water turn red, when she noticed the hotel’s refrigerated cabinet nearby.

Curiously, she opened it. On the top shelf was a basket filled with fresh flower petals and various bath fragrances. Since Mu Yanxi had brought her own bath bomb, she just took out the basket of fresh petals.

But unexpectedly, after lifting the basket, several packages rolled out from underneath. Mu Yanxi set the flower basket aside and frowned, trying to identify them.

She didn’t even notice the bathroom door opening behind her and asked casually, “What are you doing here?”

Yi Wulan asked, “I heard a noise in here. What happened?”

The items were vacuum-sealed in completely black packaging, as if trying to be discreet. Mu Yanxi was still studying them. “It’s nothing, I just found something interesting. I’ve already filled the tub, want to join me?”

If Yi Wulan had finally seen the light and decided to bathe with her, she would be more than happy.

She continued to fiddle with the strange little things in the cabinet. It wasn’t until she had taken out several of them that she abruptly stopped and looked back in alarm.

Then, she saw Yi Wulan reach out and catch one of the packages that had fallen.

Mu Yanxi took a closer look. It was a palm-sized, fluffy little ball, much like a doll on a keychain.

Yi Wulan held it up, examining it in the light, then shifted her gaze to Mu Yanxi’s face. “What is this…”

“It’s not!” Mu Yanxi quickly retorted. She couldn’t tell what it was when it was in the cabinet, but now, held under the light, how could she not know, given her experience of taking Yi Wulan to see holographic movies?

It wasn’t just her; Yi Wulan had probably guessed as well.

Mu Yanxi pushed herself up from the edge of the tub, about to jump up and snatch the little ball from Yi Wulan’s hand. But whether her legs were numb from squatting or there was water on the floor, she slipped the moment she stood up.

Seeing this, Yi Wulan forgot about the object in her hand and quickly wrapped her arms around Mu Yanxi’s waist, trying to steady her.

But unexpectedly, they both ended up tumbling into the circular bathtub behind them. The pale red water, already colored by the bath bomb, splashed everywhere, blooming like faint flowers on the clean white tiles.

Fortunately, the water level in the tub was deep, so neither of them was hurt in the fall.

Mu Yanxi, who had fallen in first, was soaked through. Her thin, white chiffon dress was stained red by the bathwater. Still shaken, she gasped for breath.

Her fluttering eyelashes were dotted with red droplets from the bath bomb, and the corners of her eyes seemed to be tinged with red, looking utterly pitiful.

When her vision refocused, Mu Yanxi looked over in astonishment, only to find that Yi Wulan was still studying the little fluffy ball in her hand.

Mu Yanxi was speechless.

Since when was Yi Wulan’s thirst for knowledge so strong?

With most of her body submerged in the water, Mu Yanxi gave Yi Wulan a push and said irritably, “Move over a bit so I can take off my clothes. They’re sticking to me, and it’s awful.”

The bathtub was wide and circular, large enough to seat four adults. Yi Wulan was very cooperative upon hearing Mu Yanxi’s words. Not only did she move further away, but she also considerately turned around.

This act annoyed Mu Yanxi greatly. She felt that the little fluffy ball in Yi Wulan’s hand was more important than her, even though the little fluffy ball was for her.

After a rustling sound, Mu Yanxi cleared her throat, swam two strokes toward Yi Wulan, and rested her hands on Yi Wulan’s shoulders, asking gloomily, “You find it that fascinating, huh?”

It was as if the moment Yi Wulan said yes, she would push her under the water.

Yi Wulan glanced sideways and gestured with her hand. “Want to try it?”

Mu Yanxi’s face stiffened, and she forced out a sentence through gritted teeth, “I’m the one who took the great President Yi to see those movies. Logically, I’m the more experienced one, so I should be the one helping you.”

Yi Wulan didn’t speak, but the hand on Mu Yanxi’s waist gradually tightened. If one looked closely, one could see that even the collar of her blouse, pushed open by the rippling water, seemed to be tinged pink by the pale red water.

A pale red drop of water trickled down from her damp temple, ran along her delicate chin, and fell with a ‘pat’ onto Mu Yanxi’s collarbone.

Clearly, she had no intention of following Mu Yanxi’s suggestion.

The two remained in a standoff for a moment before Yi Wulan asked again, “You really don’t want to?”

Mu Yanxi was thoroughly enraged. She glared at Yi Wulan and commanded, “Yi Wulan, throw it away!”

Although Mu Yanxi was bold when watching movies and usually had a loose tongue, when this kind of thing actually appeared in Yi Wulan’s hand, she couldn’t help but want to run away.

Yi Wulan gazed at Mu Yanxi’s pathetic state—forcibly held in the bathtub, unable to resist, and so flustered she looked like she was about to bite someone—and sighed softly. “We don’t have to use this.”

Mu Yanxi looked at Yi Wulan suspiciously. “Really?”

Yi Wulan nodded and leaned down to place a light kiss on Mu Yanxi’s lips. “You don’t like it.”

Mu Yanxi was speechless.

The anger that had been brewing inside Mu Yanxi was instantly extinguished by this sentence. She was stunned for a good while before she realized what Yi Wulan was saying. Instantly, her flushed cheeks grew even hotter, and she felt as if her body, soaking in the hot water, was about to start steaming.

Mu Yanxi’s gaze followed Yi Wulan’s hand as she placed the object on the counter beside them.

She licked her lower lip and, as if possessed, grabbed Yi Wulan’s wrist.

Yi Wulan turned her head in confusion. “What is it?”

Mu Yanxi blew some bubbles and mumbled, “Well… I guess it’s okay?”

As her words fell, a dead silence filled the bathroom. The entire scene seemed to freeze.

The steam clouded her eyes, making her vision blurry.

Yet Mu Yanxi could feel an increasingly scorching gaze fall upon her, slowly moving down from her dripping hair until it disappeared beneath the water’s surface. Only then did she belatedly realize the boldness of her words.

Her eyes darted around wildly. The hand wrapped around her lower back had, at some point, used the water’s buoyancy to lift her up.

Mu Yanxi lay sprawled on top of Yi Wulan, kicking her legs stubbornly. Even though she couldn’t break free, she didn’t think of using her dominant position to push Yi Wulan into the water. She just turned her head away unnaturally, not daring to meet Yi Wulan’s gaze, and muttered softly, “I was just talking nonsense.”

“Don’t be afraid.”

The steam in the bathtub continued to rise, but a shiver ran down Mu Yanxi’s back from the cool breeze of the ventilation fan.

As she shivered, she couldn’t help but lean closer to Yi Wulan, as if she were actively complying.

This scene made Mu Yanxi feel utterly ashamed and indignant. She bit down on Yi Wulan’s shoulder in frustration, catching Yi Wulan’s fine hair in her mouth as well, and chewed a couple of times.

Yi Wulan stroked the nape of Mu Yanxi’s neck, trying to get her to relax. Her voice, tinged with the steam, was slow and seemed to carry infinite tenderness. “Don’t eat random things, the bath bomb water has fragrance in it.”

Mu Yanxi scoffed internally. How could Yi Wulan still have the mind to lecture her at a time like this?

But in the next second, she couldn’t curse anymore.

Mu Yanxi let out a whimper, unable to stop herself from closing her eyes. She leaned in and nibbled on Yi Wulan’s lips again and again, unsure if she was teasing Yi Wulan or tormenting herself.

She didn’t forget to complain, “Yi Wulan, you’ve changed.”

“You care more about it than me.”

“I’m angry, the kind that can’t be coaxed.”

Yi Wulan let the little ancestor babble on, one hand soothingly stroking Mu Yanxi’s head. Before Mu Yanxi could react, she lifted her head and captured her lips, her soft tongue lightly touching the gap between her teeth, deepening the long kiss.

Even though Yi Wulan was on the bottom, she showed no sign of being constrained. Like a nation-toppling femme fatale, she shattered all the defenses in Mu Yanxi’s heart, kissing Mu Yanxi until her head spun, her limbs went weak, and her whole body was too limp to exert any strength.

First, she smiled at her, then she took the initiative to kiss her, all to make the little fluffy ball please her? President Yi was clearly aware that her beauty could bewitch her, and to sacrifice so much for the little fluffy ball, Mu Yanxi didn’t know whether to praise her or mock her.

Realizing that she had eagerly offered herself up after receiving just a little favor, Mu Yanxi wished she could bite the version of herself from a moment ago to death.

She and Yi Wulan had been married for almost a year, what was there to see?

Why did she let down all her defenses the moment Yi Wulan used a little beauty trap on her?

Damn it.

Mu Yanxi’s docile cooperation completely exposed all her feelings for Yi Wulan, as if she had been seen through and completely controlled.

But even if Mu Yanxi wanted to hide it, it was already too late.

She liked doing intimate things with Yi Wulan, but subconsciously, she still had a small competitive streak and didn’t want to be so completely controlled.

Mu Yanxi took a deep breath. The slightest movement would cause her to bite down harder on the fluffy ball. Mu Yanxi instantly froze, unable to move, and muffled whimpers escaped her lips.

Yi Wulan looked at Mu Yanxi’s earlobes, which were so red they looked like they were about to drip blood. Her eyes narrowed slightly, her thoughts unreadable. Suddenly, she grabbed the nape of Mu Yanxi’s neck, pressed her down again, and gently kissed her soft earlobe.

Mu Yanxi was speechless.

Just as Mu Yanxi had finally gotten somewhat used to Yi Wulan’s rhythm, she instantly fell apart again, nearly jumping out of her skin. But just as her waist began to move, she was once again forcefully pressed down by Yi Wulan. “Don’t move, it’s not clean yet.”

Mu Yanxi was speechless… Then why aren’t you washing?

Mu Yanxi couldn’t hold back any longer. She struggled to grab the fluffy ball, determined to fight Yi Wulan for dominance.

But as soon as her fingers moved, Yi Wulan took the opportunity to cover her hand with her own, her fingertips slipping through the gaps between Mu Yanxi’s.

Mu Yanxi felt the fluffy texture on her palm. With the flow of the water, it felt as if it was licking her palm, again and again, making her want to pull her hand back.

But Yi Wulan kept her hand over Mu Yanxi’s, guiding her like an instructor.

Mu Yanxi: ???

Mu Yanxi said angrily, “Yi. Wu. Lan—”

Yi Wulan gave Mu Yanxi’s lips a reassuring kiss. “Hm.”

The expression on her face was almost no different from usual. Not even the high temperature of the steamy water could bring a hint of red to her face.

In contrast, Mu Yanxi’s entire body was flushed with a light pink hue, a pink that deepened with Yi Wulan’s every move as she held her hand.

Mu Yanxi was on the verge of a breakdown. What on earth was happening?

No matter how much Mu Yanxi liked to tease Yi Wulan or how much she liked novel things, she never intended to put on a show in front of Yi Wulan that looked like she was playing with herself.

She had her pride!

But who knew that in the next second, Yi Wulan seemed to graze something, causing the sound from Mu Yanxi’s mouth to suddenly rise in pitch. Mu Yanxi struggled desperately, managing to bite down on Yi Wulan’s lip.

Her special ability seemed to hear her call, obediently transferring from Yi Wulan’s mouth to hers. As the ability flowed through her meridians, Mu Yanxi managed to make herself look slightly less pathetic.

The night was still long.

For the next two days, Yi Wulan spent the daytime accompanying Mu Yanxi on her sightseeing adventures. When night fell, she would continue to research the various novel items in that cabinet. If it weren’t for Mu Yanxi’s special ability to repair her body, she probably would have been completely worn out.

But Mu Yanxi’s memory was never very good. She would curse and complain at night, but the next day, she would automatically ignore that cabinet upon entering the bathroom and never got around to throwing those things away.

Fortunately, such days didn’t last long. On the morning of the fourth day, when Mu Yanxi woke up, Yi Wulan had already left to discuss a partnership. Mu Yanxi breathed a small sigh of relief and finally remembered Bai Yu’an, who had finally escaped Feicheng by accompanying her to Hong Kong.

Bai Yu’an was already used to Mu Yanxi prioritizing her lover over her friends. Without Mu Yanxi’s company, she was still thriving in Hong Kong.

She contacted a rich second-generation friend she was close with in college and, after attending two parties, Eldest Miss Bai was immediately surrounded by a flock of young internet celebrities, each waiting for her favor. She demonstrated the art of prioritizing romance over friendship even more skillfully than Mu Yanxi.

Mu Yanxi couldn’t be bothered to attend any parties, so she simply lazed around the hotel all day. When Yi Wulan returned in the evening, she was about to happily pounce on her, but the moment she hugged Yi Wulan, she froze.

Her nose twitched like a puppy’s as she sniffed all over Yi Wulan, and sure enough, she caught a few whiffs of a sweet perfume that Yi Wulan never used.

Unlike the flirtatious perfumes Mu Yanqing had bought for her, which were sweet but not cloying and had an addictive quality, this scent on Yi Wulan was familiar in a different way. It was so sweet it was almost cloying. She had smelled it several times at parties, always on some particularly pretentious little vixen. After a while, Mu Yanxi had developed a habit of smelling the scent and avoiding the person.

If even she would avoid them, Yi Wulan certainly would.

But regardless, the fact that Yi Wulan came back smelling of another woman’s perfume made Mu Yanxi exceptionally unhappy. Without a word, she pushed Yi Wulan into the bathroom, pressed her into the bathtub, and began to strip off her clothes.

Yi Wulan was bewildered and grabbed Mu Yanxi’s hand as it went to unbutton her collar. “I’ll do it myself.”

‘Smack—’ Mu Yanxi ruthlessly slapped Yi Wulan’s hand away and glared at her. “What, you want to keep it on overnight?”

“What?” Yi Wulan could see that Mu Yanxi was in a bad mood, so she didn’t resist and even raised her hands to cooperate with Mu Yanxi’s actions.

Mu Yanxi finally succeeded in pulling off Yi Wulan’s top, not even sparing her underwear, and threw it all into the trash without a second glance.

But when she looked up again, her gaze met Yi Wulan’s chest, and her face instantly turned beet red. Even her voice stammered, “You, take off the rest your-yourself, and wash up.”

After saying that, Mu Yanxi couldn’t bear it any longer, stood up, and was about to leave.

But she had barely taken a step before someone grabbed her. “Aren’t you joining me?”

As if it were a signal between them, Mu Yanxi’s feet were instantly rooted to the spot.

Yi Wulan’s fingertips gently squeezed Mu Yanxi’s hand, persistently asking, “Are you unhappy?”

Mu Yanxi turned her head, pointing down at Yi Wulan from above, and said sullenly, “Then take off all your clothes.”

Yi Wulan did as she was told.

Mu Yanxi’s face turned another shade redder, but she forced herself to maintain her composure and pointed at the trash can. “Throw them away.”

Yi Wulan did so without the slightest hesitation. “Is this okay now?”

Mu Yanxi nodded, barely satisfied.

She figured it was normal for Yi Wulan to encounter some little vixens brought by business partners, so she rare-headedly swallowed her anger. Then, she bit down hard on Yi Wulan’s neck, deliberately choosing a spot the collar couldn’t hide, and left a hickey.

Now, no matter how slow Yi Wulan was, she understood.

Without offering any explanation, she helplessly pulled Mu Yanxi into the bathtub with her, using actions to show Mu Yanxi that there was no one else.

The next day, while Mu Yanxi was still asleep, Yi Wulan forcibly pulled her out from under the covers. She asked groggily, “What are you doing? I’m sleepy.”

“The hickey.” Yi Wulan held Mu Yanxi against her shoulder, pushed her own hair aside, and gestured. “It’s gone.”

Mu Yanxi blinked a few times, finally waking up a little.

She stared blankly for a few more seconds before realizing that the hickey had probably disappeared because of her special ability, and Yi Wulan had come to her to get a new one.

So she could declare her sovereignty.

Yi Wulan was going out on business, and the thought of the prim and proper President Yi walking around with a conspicuous hickey on her neck made Mu Yanxi laugh uncontrollably.

Yi Wulan’s body grew increasingly stiff, and she finally patted Mu Yanxi’s waist as a reminder.

Mu Yanxi leaned over and lifted Yi Wulan’s collar, but her kisses traveled lower and lower, finally leaving her exclusive mark on Yi Wulan’s collarbone. Only then did she contentedly re-button Yi Wulan’s shirt.

Yi Wulan asked, puzzled, “This…”

Mu Yanxi’s face was full of surprise. She found this Yi Wulan, who was willing to disregard her usually pristine image just to make her happy, to be incredibly cute. She nuzzled her face against Yi Wulan’s. “Good Elder Sister, you should go now. Don’t keep them waiting.”

“Alright.” Yi Wulan ruffled Mu Yanxi’s hair a couple of times and placed her back in bed.

As the hotel room door closed, Mu Yanxi, hiding under the covers, finally couldn’t stop laughing. Since she was up early, she decided to call Bai Yu’an.

Bai Yu’an didn’t answer, only calling back around noon.

The two went to get styled in the afternoon, with every strand of hair meticulously cared for, before heading to the auction.

Bai Yu’an had gotten their tickets through a high-level contact at the auction house. As soon as they entered, a dedicated staff member guided them to their booth, where a luxurious fruit platter was immediately served.

On the way, Bai Yu’an ran into many acquaintances she had partied with over the past two days. The atmosphere was pleasant, but as fate would have it, she ran into a college classmate of hers, who greeted her with great enthusiasm. “Darling, why didn’t you tell me you were in Hong Kong? You weren’t trying to avoid me, were you?”

Bai Yu’an had always been the type to not take initiative and not take responsibility. In college, her looks and wealthy background had attracted many male admirers.

But this Yin Fengxia in front of her seemed to do it on purpose. She acted like an innocent little flower, and despite her preference for women, she insisted on competing with Bai Yu’an for men.

If she hadn’t also stolen Bai Yu’an’s roommate’s boyfriend, Bai Yu’an would have thought Yin Fengxia was doing it all out of unrequited love for her.

What she didn’t know was that those were all men Bai Yu’an had grown tired of and was looking for an excuse to dump.

Although Bai Yu’an didn’t mind in her heart, being one-upped time and again was still a blow to her pride, so she naturally didn’t have a pleasant expression.

She stood up, rolled her eyes without hiding it, and shielded Mu Yanxi, who was sitting behind her. Then she let out a bitchy laugh.

“Yin Fengxia, I heard you even changed your name? To what, Yin Caina? Yin Fengxia, I see you’ve gotten addicted to being a foreigner, haven’t you? I was going to look for you, but I just spent ages trying to recognize you. You can’t blame me.”

After speaking, she slowly tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, revealing the sparkling ten-carat blue diamond on her hand.

It nearly blinded Yin Caina—oh, no, Yin Fengxia’s—dog eyes.

It had to be said, Bai Yu’an knew Yin Fengxia very well. Yin Fengxia came from a good family and had been doted on since childhood. The things she hated most were people mentioning her original name and the fact that she’d had plastic surgery.

And here was Bai Yu’an, exposing all her secrets in a single sentence.

The atmosphere between the two was tense, ready to explode at any moment.

Just then, Yin Fengxia’s phone rang. Her expression visibly brightened. She shot Bai Yu’an a smug snort, then lifted her chin—though still not reaching Bai Yu’an’s or Mu Yanxi’s height—and swept her gaze haughtily over Mu Yanxi.

Then, her mocking words caught in her throat, and she left in a huff, holding her breath.

Seeing this, Bai Yu’an collapsed onto Mu Yanxi’s shoulder, laughing. “Xiao Xixi, did you see that? She clearly wanted to insult my companion before she left, but she didn’t expect you to have a face she couldn’t match even with a full-face lift.”

Mu Yanxi shoved Bai Yu’an off in disgust. “Don’t get your powder on my shoulder.”

Bai Yu’an grinned at her and started to ravage the fruit platter before them.

Bai Yu’an and Mu Yanxi had arrived rather late. They had only been seated for a few minutes when the auction officially began.

The diamond Mu Yanxi wanted was listed last in the auction catalog. The preceding items were all quite standard, mostly paintings, calligraphy, and antiques. For a little peacock who loved flashy things, it was all rather uninteresting.

On top of that, she hadn’t slept well after being woken up by Yi Wulan that morning. The drowsiness she had forcibly suppressed began to creep up on her during the boring bidding process. She slumped over listlessly, planning to take a nap first.

Seeing this, Bai Yu’an also slumped down, staring at her. “You’re not bidding?”

“Can you even appreciate that painting?” Mu Yanxi yawned lazily. “I’m going to sleep for a bit. Wake me up when it’s my turn.”

Bai Yu’an gritted her back teeth. “Fine, Your Highness.”

Mu Yanxi’s voice grew quieter, and in an instant, she was dozing off.

Bai Yu’an’s tastes were similar to Mu Yanxi’s; she liked sparkling gems that looked ridiculously expensive at first glance and had little interest in paintings and calligraphy.

Just as she was about to doze off herself, she saw a waiter respectfully leading three people to the booth next to them, which had been empty for a long time.

Walking at the very front was the same Yin Fengxia she had just seen.

Bai Yu’an’s spirits instantly lifted, wanting to see what kind of companion Yin Fengxia had brought. Because the auction house had dimmed the lights over the seats to highlight the magnificent lighting on stage, she had to stare for a long time before she could make out that behind Yin Fengxia was a middle-aged man.

However, her joy lasted only a few seconds. As the group moved, the light shifted again, and she saw the middle-aged man enthusiastically inviting the young woman behind him to join them in the booth.

That young woman was none other than the wife of the little ancestor sleeping soundly beside her, Yi Wulan.

Bai Yu’an’s temper flared. Remembering the smug, show-off expression on Yin Fengxia’s face after she got that phone call, she was so angry she was about to explode. She slapped a hand on Mu Yanxi’s shoulder and roared in a low voice, “Xiao Xixi! Wake up! Your wife is about to be stolen!”

Mu Yanxi’s eyelids were so heavy she couldn’t open them. She mumbled, “Huh?”

“Wake up!” Bai Yu’an shook Mu Yanxi’s shoulder vigorously, nearly shaking the breath out of her small frame. “Yi Wulan is about to be stolen by that little bitch who loves to steal other people’s partners!”

Mu Yanxi finally lifted her head, looking half-dead. “I know, let go of me first.”

Seeing that she was truly awake, Bai Yu’an finally let go.

Mu Yanxi messily straightened her long hair, then looked over to the side, muttering, “Looks like I wasn’t wrong about that perfume smell after all.”

Bai Yu’an didn’t hear clearly. “What weren’t you wrong about?”

Mu Yanxi shook her head and took out her phone to check the information Gu Yan had sent her. Gu Yan’s efficiency was indeed high. She had only asked who Yi Wulan’s partner was this time, and he had sent over all the information.

He hadn’t even left out that Yin Fengxia.

The Yin family had always done well in Hong Kong. They used to be involved in the criminal underworld and had only successfully laundered their reputation and gone legitimate about ten years ago. But because they were used to taking what they wanted by force in their old days, they hadn’t made much progress since having to do things by the book.

As for Yin Fengxia’s psychology, Mu Yanxi could roughly guess it. She had even stolen Bai Yu’an’s partners before, so trying to seduce Yi Wulan despite knowing she was married was nothing surprising.

Just then, Bai Yu’an leaned in to fill her in. “Didn’t I go to a party a few days ago? They told me a lot about Yin Fengxia. They said she loves to put on an act in front of those people, then take the opportunity to have a one-night stand, and then turn around and falsely accuse the partner to get them to concede on business deals.”

Mu Yanxi was speechless.

So she’s decided to put on a show for me, has she?

Mu Yanxi was so angry she almost flipped the table.

But for the sake of President Yi’s dignity, Mu Yanxi restrained herself a little and sent Yi Wulan a warning text in advance.

【Sit tight. I’m about to cause a scene. (smiling soybean emoji)】
