Looking back on the situation when I saw Mr. Spade yesterday, I still feel a mix of embarrassment and shyness.
However, in order to allow the few professionals understand my unique situation, I decided I should still describe my state after seeing Mr. Spade last night.
I stepped onto the glass shards barefoot and squatted down. The pain was completely overshadowed by overwhelming panic and insecurity. I knew something was wrong with me, but I didn’t know what to do, nor did I realize I was standing on glass barefoot. After standing there for a long time, I decided to clean it up myself and shut down the cleaning robot that had detected the debris and was preparing to come.
At that moment, Mr. Spade burst through the window, shouting my name. He rushed over and scooped me up in his arms. The instant I saw him, it was like a bird returning to its nest—my heart found its home, my consciousness coalesced. I released the glass shards and instinctively wrapped my arms around his neck, humming softly.
Still shaken, Mr. Spade coaxed me, “It’s okay, I’m here, I’m here. You’ll be fine.”
Those words carried a magical power. I immediately transitioned from a state of isolation and helplessness to one of stability. “You’re not allowed to leave.”
“Alright, alright, alright, I won’t leave,” Mr. Spade said. He found a cloak on the sofa and draped it over me. “Would you like me to take you back to my place?”
As long as he was by my side, I didn’t care where we went. I nodded in agreement. As we stepped out the door, I suddenly remembered to ask, “How did you know to come find me?”
Mr. Spade nuzzled my forehead, lowered his head, and whispered softly, “I suddenly felt restless; I missed you.”
Although we had only been separated for less than two hours, hearing Mr. Spade say ‘I missed you’ instantly made me forgive all of his previous annoying behavior.
I couldn’t help but give his Adam’s apple a quick peck. “I’m tired, I want to sleep.”
Mr. Spade stiffened, holding me tighter. “Right away, right away.”
I guessed that if he weren’t holding me, he’d probably be walking awkwardly, with both feet on the same side moving together—he was so nervous.
The lights blazed brightly in Mr. Spade’s home. Madam Peach and Mr. Peach sat on the sofa, showing no surprise at seeing me in Mr. Spade’s arms.
Madam Peach said, “You didn’t use any of the many cars at home, yet you had to hijack one on the road. I’ve told the research center personnel to come here. As for the city’s traffic safety management people, your father will deal with them.”
“My mind went blank,” Mr. Spade admitted his mistake bluntly. “I’ll go back to my room first.”
Madam Peach: “Hold it right there. First, tell me what’s going on with you.”
Mr. Spade spoke rapidly: “I was tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep, my mind restless. I wanted to see Nashu—I felt something was wrong with him, so I went to find him.”
Madam Peach approached and scanned me with her mental threads. Nestled in Mr. Spade’s arms, I felt utterly safe, drifting into a drowsy state.
Madam Peach noticed the wound on my foot. “His mental Power is stable. He shouldn’t be…”
Mr. Spade stood firm. “I need the restoration device. He’s sleeping with me tonight. I will take him to the research center for further examination tomorrow, but right now, Nashu doesn’t need all those tests—he just needs me.”
Madam Peach seemed ready to say more but was stopped by Mr. Peach. I faintly heard Mr. Peach tell Madam Peach, “Let it go for now. We’ll talk after the children wake up. First, we need to figure out how to explain this to Nashu’s parents.”
Mr. Spade gently placed the half-asleep me on the bed. The moment he released me, my consciousness snapped awake, and I instinctively grabbed his hand. He sat down beside the bed. “I’ll use the restoration device to heal the wound on your foot.”
I clung tightly to Mr. Spade, refusing to let go no matter what.
Mr. Spade’s butler brought the restoration device, Mr. Spade had no choice but to pull me into his arms.
I sat between his legs, letting him fuss over me, and drifted off to sleep with my arms around his neck.
585L: OP, how were you able to remember all this so clearly when you were in such a poor state?
586L: In other words, if a Sentinel-Guide pair’s Spiritual Bodies vanish simultaneously, they develop an inescapable need for each other?
587L: This need is essentially possessiveness—a desire for the other person to be constantly in sight.
588L: Wait, if that’s the case, when Mr. Spade woke up and saw OP holding the Ragdoll Cat, his anger might have been triggered by this heightened possessiveness due to the vanished Spiritual Bodies. (The inspector is online; my previous posts were all passed.)
589L: That’s possible. The OP developed self-harm urges when separated from Mr. Spade, while Mr. Spade could sense OP’s emotional instability. (Solution: Post only if it contains reasonable analysis.)
590L: Do Sentinel-Guide pairs whose Spiritual Bodies vanish simultaneously develop an even stronger bond?
591L: This raises a question: is this clingy bond love, or is it rooted in a lack of security?
592L: I think Mr. Spade has always liked the OP. As for whether the OP likes Mr. Spade, it’s hard to say.
593L: I feel that OP gets along more harmoniously and peacefully with Mr. Club.
594L: At first, the OP even called Mr. Spade ‘annoying jerk’.
595L: ‘Hitting is kissing, scolding is love[mfn]打是親罵是愛 (dǎ shì qīn mà shì ài): T/N: might or might not be a pun for 打是疼,罵是愛 (dǎ shì téng mà shì ài), hitting is doting, scolding is love, a common saying in China about parent that hit and scold their children is because they love them; Sometimes harsh words or deeds can demonstrate one’s love; Tough love is sometimes the only way. Another popular saying for younger people is: 打是親,罵是愛,說話就是談戀愛 (dǎ shì qīn, mà shì ài, shuō huà jiù shì tán liàn’ài), Hitting is kissing, scolding is love, talking is falling in love.[/mfn]’. ‘Annoying jerk’ is clearly a term of endearment!
596L: I don’t think so. The OP only calls Mr. Spade ‘annoying jerk’ in the original post. Everywhere else, the OP refer to him as ‘Mr. Spade’. But they’re clearly very familiar with each other. For someone to consistently use such formal titles with someone they know well in front of strangers suggests the OP is a restrained and polite person. Such a restrained and polite person suddenly becoming so clingy is highly unusual. All the OP’s current behavior should be analyzed as symptoms of illness. Any extreme emotions like self-harm or obsessive clinging should be considered inconsistent with their true psychological state.
597L: Why assume it’s not the disappearance of the Spiritual Body amplifying the OP’s original inner desires?
598L: No matter what, it’s good that the OP is okay.
599L: Whether the OP likes Mr. Spade isn’t the point! The real issue is how to help the OP find his Spiritual Body!
600L: Everyone, go back and reread everything the OP said. I’ve noticed something crucial: when the OP said that if he became an ordinary person, he’d want Mr. Spade to take care of him, Mr. Spade’s response was very strange!
601L: Where? Where?
602L: Look at post 416L. Mr. Spade agreed to everything the OP said and replied, “I happen to have a house in the southwest part of the city. Not very big—just two bedrooms and one living room. What do you think?”
603L: Bingo! That’s exactly the line I meant.
[Administrator No. 2]: What’s wrong with that line? The Moderator is in a meeting right now, and I’ve revoked all the orders he issued for this thread!!!
604L: Holy shit, does that mean we can spam now?!
[Administrator No. 2]: No, you still need to follow the original forum rules for the Sentinel-Guide Discussion Forum. While spamming is still prohibited, the requirements aren’t as strict!
605L: Hooray!
606L: Asking Lord PLUM to show himself for a group photo!
607L: Wasn’t Administrator No. 2 removed from their duties? Why can No. 2 still access their personal Administrator account?
608L: There’s definitely something fishy going on here.
609L: Now I know who the main characters of 《The Moderator and the Administrator: The Untold Story》 in the gossip section thread next door is…
610L: I suspect No. 2 seduced the Moderator to get their account back.
611L: Exactly! Anyway, in those 《Untold Stories》, no matter the problem, the Administrator always resorts to seduction.
612L: If it works, it works.
613L: Truth.
614L: Still, so few people are commenting here. The discussion about this thread in the gossip section is about to start a whole new thread there.
615L: That’s normal. If you look through the posts in the Sentinel-Guide Discussion Forum—there aren’t many new posts each day, and even fewer make it to the second page. At most, we only get about ten threads a year that reach over 400 comments. This thread is already considered a ‘Legendary Thread’ for this forum.
616L: After all, this forum has a ton of rules—no spamming, no arguing, and if you gossip too much, the Administrator will personally come out and ban you…
617L: The gossip section has practically become a seeking-help forum. Only an honest little white rabbit like the OP would post such juicy content here.
618L: SO! WHAT! WAS! SO! STRANGE! ABOUT! THAT! LINE!
619L: Don’t you think Mr. Spade was prepared for this all along?
620L: Preparing a house and keeping the OP confined… The more you think about it, the scarier it gets.
621L: Holy… shit… Could Mr. Spade have planned the OP’s Spiritual Body being devoured from the start…?
622L: If we assume the setting that Mr. Spade is black-hearted underneath: First, Mr. Spade initially refused to let the OP soothe his mental black spots. Then, the Butler, unable to stand it, invited the OP to come soothe him, which allows Mr. Spade to shed the image of having malicious intent. Second, he exploits the fact that a Guide who loses their Spiritual Body loses their sense of security and subconsciously seeks Mr. Spade’s protection—a voluntary act by the OP, unrelated to Mr. Spade’s actions. Third, he would appear at the opportune moment, a hero saving the damsel in distress, further cementing his importance in the OP’s heart… Mommy, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.
623L: The OP is in danger!
624L: Wait, the prerequisite for him being black-hearted underneath is that Mr. Spade needs to understand the consequences of a Spiritual Body swallowing another Spiritual Body. If he goes too far, he’ll have nowhere to cry.
625L: The melon eaters[mfn]吃瓜群眾 (chī guā qún zhòng): lit. melon-eating masses; peanut gallery (esp. in online forums); onlookers who are interested in the spectacle but don’t have anything knowledgeable to say about it; (neologism, Internet slang, humorous, often used as self-address) onlookers (who are unaware of the situation); clueless commoners.[/mfn] is watch-ing with bated breath.
626L: Or perhaps Mr. Spade’s snake swallowing OP’s Spiritual Body was an accident, but all his subsequent actions were Mr. Spade taking advantage of the situation?
627L: That still doesn’t add up. How would Mr. Spade know about OP’s condition? And it’s not just OP’s Spiritual Body that disappeared—Mr. Spade’s vanished too.
628L: Could Mr. Spade actually be innocent?
629L: No, I think Mr. Spade has developed a strong interest in keeping the OP in captivity. My theory is that Mr. Spade likes the OP and is trying to keep him like a pet. Does anyone disagree with this view?
630L: Agreed.
631L: Agreed +1
632L: It’s obvious Mr. Spade likes the OP.
633L: Excellent. All three users who replied within a minute of my post agree, a 100% consensus. Let’s move on to the next stage of our hypothesis. Assuming the Spiritual Body devouring incident was accidental, and according to the previous analysis by a professional researcher from the jet lag party, the OP’s Spiritual Body hasn’t manifested because of ‘psychological suggestion guides behavior’. He believes his bird has been swallowed, so it cannot appear. Therefore, the key question now shifts to Mr. Spade—how can we help Mr. Spade’s snake manifest?
634L: Seconded.
635L: Seconded.
636L: The OP has stated that if his Spiritual Body disappears and he becomes an ordinary person, he would need Mr. Spade to keep him. This aligns perfectly with Mr. Spade’s desires. Therefore, Mr. Spade’s current goal should be to prevent the OP’s Spiritual Body from manifesting, which is equivalent to preventing his own Spiritual Body from appearing.
637L: That sounds very logical…
638L: Cannot refute.
639L: However, the OP is already completely immersed in Mr. Spade’s care.
640L: Overjoyed.
641L: Can’t help himself.
642L: Wants hugs.
643L: Wants kisses? (°?‵?′??)
644L: Perhaps while we are analyzing this, Mr. Spade might have already devoured OP whole.
645L: I’m sorry, OP. We couldn’t save your virtue. [Light a candle]
646L: Now the real question is: is the OP, who has practically lost his original mind, still the same OP?
647L: So, so complicated…
648L OP:
No way. Mr. Spade’s IQ isn’t that high.
Although he is arrogant and has a terrible temper, but he would never take advantage of someone in a vulnerable state. I slept with him all night last night, and nothing happened. Besides, my mind is clear now. Madam Peach believes my symptoms last night were caused by stress-induced feelings of insecurity, leading to a nervous breakdown. Since Mr. Spade’s Spiritual Body has also disappeared, my subconscious now categorizes him as one of my own kind, making me instinctively crave his presence.
649L: Mr. Spade’s IQ isn’t that high 2333333
650L: Just how stupid Mr. Spade in the OP’s eyes is…?
651L OP:
How high do you think the IQ of a person who chooses the afternoon to trespass a school and brazenly strolls inside would be?
652L: Hahahaha! #XiuStyleSarcasm#
653L: After all, he’s Three-Year-Old Spade.
654L: Officially confirmed! All the characters we’ve deduced above are real!!!! [Firecrackers!.jpg]
655L: The gossip section next door is about to explode, but they dare not come over here and challenge the Moderator’s dignity.
656L: The Madam XXXX fan club representative leads the masses of fans to recognize their organization. Good morning, Madam’s goose-in-law!
657L: The Lord XXXX fan club representative leads the masses of fans to greet the OP. OP, what do you think of our Ragdoll Cat? Clingy, adorable, and with explosive combat power!
658L: Childhood Sweetheart vs. Newcomer!
659L: Do the Ragdoll Cats really have combat power? The OP obviously leaning toward Three-Year-Old Spade!
660L: No, this is all an illusion! If Three-Year-Old Spade’s snake hadn’t swallowed the OP’s Spiritual Body, none of this would be happening!
[Administrator No. 2]: Take your squabbling to the thread next door! I want the OP!
661L: Sudden silence…
662L: Three-Year-Old Spade’s Sentinel stealth skills are lacking.
663L: Quiet! Quiet! I see Mr. Spade again!
664L: Upstairs… is that from the city’s traffic surveillance cameras?
665L: Mr. Spade is holding the OP’s hand, and… Holy shit!!! Madam XXXX!!!!! Her beauty remains undiminished, truly breathtaking~~~~
666L: Waaah, I want to see too!
667L: Upstairs, go to the 14209L thread next door! There’s a live stream!
668L: They’re getting into the car. Judging by the route, they’re heading to the Guide Research Center… Wait, how is there a live stream in the 14209L thread next door?! Who hacked the traffic surveillance cameras?!
669L: Your description is too dull. Just admire their figures directly.
670L: But… aren’t the OP and Mr. Spade’s information supposed to be completely confidential? Broadcasting a livestream like this completely exposes their personal privacy!
[Moderator]: This thread is now locked. No replies allowed except for the OP. The moderator of the Gossip Section is now under investigation. The user who shared the live stream is suspected of illegal activity and is being investigated by the cyber police. Legal action will be taken. The thread next door has been completely sealed off.
