AYM Chapter 92

Han Zhen knew what Ming Zhang meant. If his mind were still somewhat dazed a moment ago, these words had cleared his head. Yet, his desire did not lessen at all, instead, it burned even more fiercely like a raging fire.

For the first time, he looked so close, so unabashedly, into those eyes he had longed for. The madness and desire in them made Han Zhen tremble, and he could not resist being drawn in, sinking deeper step by step.

“I won’t leave.”

As Ming Zhang leaned down, Han Zhen had to brace himself on the edge of the table to keep his balance. But no matter what happened now, he greedily stared into those eyes, unwilling to look away even for a moment.

“I don’t care. The only thing I care about is whether that person is you.”

A trace of surprise flashed in Ming Zhang’s eyes. Turns out this man’s feelings for him were this deep, no less than his own feelings for the emperor, even willing to submit to him.

Neither of them wanted to waste time talking anymore. Ming Zhang chuckled softly, lifted Han Zhen’s chin, and kissed his lips amidst their mingling breaths.

Han Zhen’s hands gripping the table suddenly tightened. The spilled tea on the table trembled and dripped down the edge one drop at a time. Silent, yet creating ripples.

Ming Zhang’s fingers roamed freely over the firm and beautiful muscles. As someone trained in martial arts, Han Zhen looked tall and slim, but every part of his body was perfectly built, so beautiful it made Ming Zhang dizzy, and the last thread of his restraint was about to snap.

Ming Zhang sighed unconsciously. From cautious testing to reckless surrender, the two of them kissed fiercely, even as their lips and teeth ached.

This was a room without even a soft couch. A crisp cracking sound rang out as the teacup that had already been knocked over was swept to the floor by Ming Zhang. In the next moment, Han Zhen’s back hit the cold, hard table.

A sharp pain shot through him, and the spilled tea quickly soaked through his clothes. The cold made Han Zhen frown, but he had no time to feel anything else before one leg was harshly bent up against his chest, drawing a muffled groan from him.

“Really not leaving?”

These words came out between breaths. It sounded like a question, but Ming Zhang’s eyes were certain.

Han Zhen looked into those unrestrained eyes in a daze. Inside them was the cruelty of a hunter, the arrogance of knowing he would not refuse, and above all, a burning desire directed at him.

This was the real Ming Zhang, the Ming Zhang no one else knew.

The Ming Zhang who would lay everything bare without reservation only in front of him.

Hm?” A trace of surprise flashed in Ming Zhang’s eyes. He glanced downwards, then the corner of his lips curved into a mocking smile as he slowly leaned down. “I think I already know the answer.”

This was a sudden incident, one that could be considered painful. Night had already fallen completely. No one lit a candle, and darkness slowly spread into every corner of the room.

Ming Zhang couldn’t explain why. Perhaps it was to vent years of pent-up resentment, or perhaps it was an unfillable chasm of desire. Han Zhen’s expression of pain was like a potent poison, burning away the last of his reason, while a faint trace of blood in the air ignited the violence buried deepest within him.

“Ming Zhang… Ming Zhang…”

No one else could hear Han Zhen’s fragile voice. Ming Zhang’s heart suddenly pounded a few times, and his awareness snapped back in that instant. He stopped. Then a faint tickle brushed his cheek. Ming Zhang clearly felt a drop of sweat trail down. Although he could not see it, he knew it fell onto the body still trembling from the pain.

“Ming Zhang…” It was too dark here. He could not see Han Zhen’s expression, but he did not continue, like a god in control of everything, granting this moment of confession to his follower.

“I know everything you’ve done, I know it all…” Han Zhen spoke in fragments, filled with deep sorrow. “Before, I could turn a blind eye to everything you did, but not this time. You’ve threatened the emperor’s safety. I will not stand by any longer.”

“I also know your feelings for the emperor, but some things truly cannot be forced…!”

The pain, like being cut by a sharp blade, made Han Zhen break out in a cold sweat. He could not continue, but Ming Zhang’s voice rang out, calm and condescending.

“What right do you have to lecture me?

“Han Zhen, if you had been willing to let go, how could you end up like this today? How would you be so lowly as to lie beneath me, unable to be driven away?”

“Lowly… is it?” Han Zhen forced his sweat-soaked eyes open but still could not see Ming Zhang’s face. He murmured in a voice so soft he could barely hear it himself, “Perhaps it will only be this once, just this once.”

Even though neither could see the other, Ming Zhang still felt as if Han Zhen’s gaze could pierce through the darkness, reigniting an unknown fire within his heart. Amid hurried breaths, Han Zhen was flipped over, his prominent shoulder blades were pressed down firmly as they continued.

The night was silent with thin clouds veiling the moon.

The door opened, revealing Han Zhen’s back in the dim light. His first few steps were unsteady. He tried his best to straighten his body, but his steps were still unnatural.

Ming Zhang sat quietly in the room, watching as the door closed. The impenetrable darkness merged with his pupils once more, chaotic and murky.

Was it satisfying? It should be.

But why did it not feel as satisfying as expected?

It was clearly Han Zhen who looked disheveled, yet Ming Zhang felt as if he himself had been torn open, with nowhere to hide.

“Attendants.”

The door opened again, and a person stood outside.

“Prepare the sedan. To the Qin residence.”

Ming Zhang’s arrival caused all the anger and anxiety Li Xuanjing had built up over the past few days to erupt. He no longer maintained the aloof composure of a crown prince and instead grabbed Ming Zhang by the collar, each word seeming to be forced out through clenched teeth,

“It’s been three days! Where is he? Are you deliberately delaying? Trying to trap me in the capital?”

“Yan Yihuan is ill, unconscious.” Ming Zhang grasped Li Xuanjing’s wrist, applying slight pressure. “Chest pain. Is it his old illness?”

“Chest pain?” Li Xuanjing was startled and quickly thought back. “Never.”

“At this point, Your Highness had better not hide anything. Time waits for no one.” Ming Zhang pulled his hand away. “You must already know that people from Qingxiao Temple have been summoned to the palace. The emperor is indeed on the brink of death, and Yan Yihuan just happens to faint from chest pain at this time. Could there be some connection?”

“Li Xuanming is really about to die?” Li Xuanjing looked at Ming Zhang, his eyes full of doubt. “Then how can you be so calm?”

“At first, I wanted to have this person, no matter what he became.” His tone was calm, yet it carried a chilling darkness. “But now I feel that if I’m destined not to have him…”

Ming Zhang raised his eyes, the end of his brow lifting slightly. “Having Your Highness lose someone together with me isn’t so bad either.”

Li Xuanjing trembled, his eyelids twitching. “Are you crazy?!”

“When the emperor ordered an investigation into the palace spies, I was the one who protected Gao Yu, this undercover spy. In other words, this spy is now in my hands.

“So aside from me, no one can take Yan Yihuan out of the palace. If Your Highness still refuses to say why you’ve been waiting so desperately for Yan Yihuan, then just wait for the day when bad news of him arrives.”

The author has something to say:

Our Zhen Zhen is loyal like a devoted dog, but Ming Zhang treats people according to his mood.

Actually, Yihuan really should explain properly to Ming Zhang that being the shou is way more enjoyable than being the gong. It’s less tiring as well.

After all, Zhen Zhen is an expert(martial artist), so his waist must be strong ( ?ω? )
