Lu Shiran’s “warning” to his friends in the group chat prompted them to tag Lu Xingmian directly, telling him not to listen to Lu Shiran and that they all supported him.
Lu Xingmian now had his phone back.
[Lu Xingmian: I listen to my Ge.]
A chorus of wailing ensued in the group, with people saying Lu Xingmian shouldn’t be so easily bullied by Lu Shiran.
[Lu Xingmian: My Ge never bullies me. He’s very good to me.]
After a few seconds of silence in the chat, the messages started again.
[Wang Yichuan: Lu Xingmian, you’re so adorable.]
[Lu Xingmian, you’re really too honest.]
[Old Lu, what kind of incredible good deed did you do?]
They had only meant to tease Lu Xingmian but they didn’t expect him to seriously reply and defend Lu Shiran. Faced with such a pure young man, these older men, who were used to playful banter, felt a little embarrassed to continue and were also very envious of Lu Shiran.
The smile never left his face as Lu Shiran looked at the messages. He also didn’t know what incredible good deed he had done to meet a treasure like Lu Xingmian. The way he so earnestly defended him was truly beautiful.
Zheng Minyou imagined the dumbfounded expressions of his friends, and he felt a great sense of balance. He shouldn’t be the only one suffering through this PDA; they all should.
If people were nice to Lu Xingmian because he was Lu Shiran’s boyfriend before, now they genuinely liked him as a person. Lu Shiran’s friends were completely won over.
Lu Xingmian wasn’t just Lu Shiran’s boyfriend; he was also a first-year university student.
He attended classes daily, participated in club activities, and lived a life much like any other college student by staying up late and sleeping in on weekends or holidays.
This afternoon, Lu Xingmian didn’t have classes, and Lu Shiran was also resting at home.
After watering the plants on the balcony, Lu Xingmian looked at the weather outside and thought to himself that it had been a while since he and Lu Shiran had been on a date.
The weather was nice today, perfect for a date. So, Lu Xingmian went to find Lu Shiran.
Lu Shiran had just finished taking the clothes off the line and was folding both his and Lu Xingmian’s.
When Lu Xingmian walked in, Lu Shiran was folding his underwear. Even though they were already in a very intimate relationship, seeing his underwear in Lu Shiran’s hands still made Lu Xingmian blush.
It wasn’t until Lu Shiran asked him what was wrong that he remembered what he had originally wanted to say.
“Ge, let’s go on a date.”
Lu Shiran: “Okay.”
And so, the two of them set out.
Lu Xingmian decided they should see a movie first.
It had been a long time since Lu Shiran had been to a movie theater. His own villa had a small cinema, but it was practically just for show; he rarely watched movies there, though Xiao Youzi liked it.
Lu Xingmian was wearing a simple white T-shirt and light blue jeans while Lu Shiran was dressed in a formal black suit.
Lu Xingmian’s smile was so wide he could barely close his mouth along the way. Who goes on a date dressed so formally? Lu Shiran looked like he was going to a multi-million-dollar business negotiation.
Lu Shiran wanted to go back and change clothes but Lu Xingmian stopped him by saying that he looked handsome in the suit and that he liked it.
Lu Xingmian was telling the truth. Lu Shiran was both tall and handsome, and his presence in a suit at the movie theater attracted a lot of attention. The two of them looked great together.
After picking up the movie tickets, Lu Xingmian said, “Ge, let’s get some popcorn too.”
Then they bought a bucket of popcorn and two cups of soda.
When it was time to enter, Lu Xingmian and Lu Shiran went into the screening room and found their seats in the middle.
But strangely, it had been five minutes since they entered, yet they were still the only two people in the room.
Lu Xingmian had chosen a popular comedy, which should have had a big audience. There shouldn’t have been no one there. Lu Xingmian looked around and noticed that it was still completely empty.
Lu Xingmian started to wonder, “Ge, did we come to the wrong place? Why is there no one here? Is this Hall 5?”
Lu Shiran: “We didn’t come to the wrong place.”
Seeing his calm demeanor, Lu Xingmian thought of a possibility. “Ge, you didn’t… book the whole place, did you?”
Lu Shiran ruffled his hair. His silence was a confirmation.
Lu Xingmian: What a spendthrift Gege.
The lights in the screening room dimmed, and the movie began.
A classic first date activity is going to the movies, and couples naturally hold hands. Just as Lu Xingmian was about to reach for Lu Shiran’s hand, Lu Shiran was one step ahead and pulled him into an embrace.
“Zai Zai, this is the correct way to watch a movie on a date.”
It was a comedy, and Lu Xingmian was giggling uncontrollably in his boyfriend’s arms with his shoulders shaking with laughter.
As he watched the movie, Lu Xingmian reached for the popcorn but found the bucket empty. Just as he was wondering, a piece of popcorn was offered to his lips. He opened his mouth, and it was delivered to him directly.
When he got thirsty from the popcorn, before Lu Xingmian could even say anything, a soda was held out in front of him. He sipped from the straw, and the cool, refreshing soda was invigorating.
Throughout the entire movie, Lu Xingmian ate and drank happily without having to lift a finger.
After the movie, they went for a boat ride in a park.
Before getting on the boat, Lu Xingmian bought a box of takoyaki and a bag of fish food.
As they rowed, Lu Shiran did the work while Lu Xingmian happily ate his takoyaki and he did not forget to feed a piece to Lu Shiran and then some fish food to the fish in the lake.
Lu Shiran realized, “Zai Zai, are you feeding me like a fish?”
Lu Xingmian pursed his lips and smiled. “Where is there a fish as big and handsome as you?”
Lu Shiran had been rowing for a long time. Lu Xingmian said, “Ge, are you tired? How about I take over?”
Lu Shiran exercised regularly and wasn’t tired from a simple task like rowing at all.
When they got back to shore, it was still broad daylight.
It was already summer and the temperature was a bit hot, making them want something cool to drink.
“There’s a boba shop over there,” Lu Xingmian said, pointing to the crowd of people in line on the street. “I want a milkshake.”
It was a boba shop Lu Xingmian liked,
and their strawberry cheesecake yogurt milkshake was his favorite.
“I’ll go get it. Wait here for me.” Lu Shiran said.
He took a few steps and then turned back to instruct him again. “Don’t wander off. I’ll be right back. If you don’t listen, I’ll deal with you when we get home.”
Lu Xingmian watched as Lu Shiran stood in line. Even in the crowd, Lu Shiran was a particularly noticeable presence.
There were many people in line, and it looked like it would take about ten minutes for Lu Shiran’s turn.
Ten minutes later, Lu Shiran returned with a cool milkshake, but Lu Xingmian was no longer there. He might have gone somewhere else to buy something.
Lu Shiran waited where he was as he assumed Lu Xingmian would be back soon. If he didn’t return soon, the milkshake would melt.
Lu Xingmian had a great time on their afternoon date and because Lu Xingmian was happy, Lu Shiran was even happier. That evening, Lu Xingmian said he wanted to eat crawfish, so Lu Shiran would take him to get some soon.
On the way to get the crawfish, he could also let Lu Xingmian drive to build his confidence. He had already gotten his driver’s license. He would find a time to take Lu Xingmian to look at cars soon.
Ten minutes had passed and Lu Xingmian still hadn’t returned. It was taking a bit long.
Lu Shiran was about to send Lu Xingmian a message when he heard a commotion nearby and caught a faint smell of something burning.
Two people passed by him and said a shop ahead had suddenly caught fire; the flames were fierce and someone was hurt. Lu Shiran’s pupils constricted, and he quickly moved forward.
Because a shop was on fire, thick smoke was billowing out.
A crowd had gathered at the entrance. They had already called the fire department but it would take a while for them to get there.
An old woman next to him was crying and trying to rush into the burning shop. Her grandson hadn’t made it out with her and was trapped inside. She wanted to go in to rescue him but was being held back by a passerby.
“Ma’am, the fire is too big; you can’t go in.”
“I just saw a young man rush in. He should be able to bring your grandson out. Don’t worry, Ma’am.”
Lu Shiran’s heart almost stopped. “What did that guy look like?”
The person nearby thought for a moment. “He was a very good-looking young man. He had just rushed in when you arrived. It was too dangerous. Even the people around him couldn’t stop him.”
Everyone could only pray that the young man and the boy would come out safely. As each second passed, the more nervous and heavy everyone’s hearts became.
With trembling hands, Lu Shiran took out his phone and dialed a number but the call could not be connected.
While everyone else was backing away from the fire, Lu Shiran was moving toward it. He wasn’t sure if Lu Xingmian was inside or not, however he continued to dial his number without stopping.
His gut feeling told him that the person who had rushed in was Lu Xingmian. He had to go in and find him.
The people beside him pulled him back. “Young man, it’s dangerous, don’t go in!”
Lu Shiran’s eyes were red as he roared, “Let go!”
The person holding him was startled by his intense gaze but held on tightly. The fire was so fierce that going in would be nothing but s*icide.
Just as Lu Shiran was about to shake the person off, someone in the crowd shrieked, “They’re coming out! They’re coming out!”
A skinny young man rushed out of the thick smoke while holding a little boy.
A cheer suddenly erupted from the surrounding crowd.
Just after they emerged, the sound of a collapse echoed from inside the building. Everyone felt a shudder of fear and realized that if they had been a moment later, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
The old woman rushed forward and tearfully hugged her grandson. He was safe and unharmed. With a thump, she knelt before the young man to thank him for saving her grandson.
The young man quickly helped her up and told her it was nothing and just advise her to take her grandson to the hospital for a check-up to ensure he hadn’t inhaled any smoke.
His face was smudged gray and black from the smoke, yet his eyes still shone like stars, his smile remained as bright as ever and his voice was as clear and pleasant as always. While the earring in his right ear gleamed with a blue light.
When he saw Lu Shiran, the young man happily greeted him, “Ge.”
(^_^;)❓what is this ? Was this show necessary?
