During the first few months of pregnancy, Fang Fengzhi’s morning sickness was severe. He couldn’t even keep food down and was constantly nauseous. Min Zhi hired someone specifically to manage his diet, but it had little effect.
When Min Zhi returned home at night and saw Fang Fengzhi half-reclined on the sofa while drowsy and struggling to stay awake, he frowned and picked him up.
The Omega squeezed his eyes shut and forced them open. “You’re back.”
Min Zhi remained silent, his face tinged with a hint of anger.
“…What’s wrong?” Fang Fengzhi was a bit confused; even after being placed on the large bed in the bedroom, he still hadn’t heard an answer.
“Is it something at the company…” He was halfway through his sentence when Min Zhi gave him a cold glance.
“Stop talking.”
“Were you waiting for me to come back and punish you by staying up this late?”
Fang Fengzhi froze. So he was angry about the late night. Thinking of the “punishment” Min Zhi mentioned, his heart skipped several beats. While they couldn’t have sex during early pregnancy, Min Zhi certainly had ways to punish him that were even more grueling than sex itself. Fang Fengzhi quickly and obediently shut his mouth, not daring to make a sound.
Min Zhi leaned down and kissed his eye. “I’m going to shower. If you’re not asleep by the time I’m back…” He paused mid-sentence and pinched Fang Fengzhi’s backside to intimidate him.
When he finished his shower and came out, the Omega was already fast asleep. As expected, he only listened when he was a little scared.
Min Zhi often said Fang Fengzhi was like a puppy, and it wasn’t without reason. On the surface, he seemed gentle and lovable, but in reality, he was sometimes incredibly bold, liked to play clever tricks, and was very stubborn. He did things he shouldn’t, ranging from major things like going to find Fu Baiqi alone to minor things like treating Min Zhi’s words as white noise and staying up late waiting for him to come home. Fang Fengzhi wanting to wait for him wasn’t a bad thing; it showed that he was clingy and dependent, but that habit had to change during pregnancy.
How should he change it?
Some say that for a couple to maintain a long-lasting relationship, there must be something that makes one party feel a sense of fear toward the other. Min Zhi felt this made a lot of sense; when a dispute arises, that “fear” comes into play.
Min Zhi was afraid of Fang Fengzhi looking at him with hurt, sad, and aggrieved eyes; it caused Min Zhi to instantly admit defeat and follow his lead in everything every single time. Fang Fengzhi; however, had very few things he feared regarding Min Zhi. Although he had been somewhat afraid of intimacy matters at first, as time went on and they became more intimate and familiar, he naturally came to enjoy it. In this sense, the only thing he held as extremely important, and thus feared, was “love” itself. Yet Min Zhi could not bring himself to use threats like “I don’t want you anymore”; it would make his love seem cheap, and he couldn’t bear to do it either.
Still, he had to make Fang Fengzhi afraid of something, so he would occasionally give him small lessons.
Min Zhi walked to the bedside and adjusted the quilt for him. Just as he was about to get into bed, he noticed the Omega’s eyeballs moving slightly beneath his eyelids.
This caused the corners of Min Zhi’s mouth to twitch upward. He stared at him silently for a moment, then leaned down and pulled back the quilt.
Fang Fengzhi’s brow furrowed, but he stubbornly refused to open his eyes.
Min Zhi simply stripped off all his clothes. He didn’t lay another hand on him while looking at the naked body; he just sat by the bed and stared.
Being stared at like that made Fang Fengzhi’s skin crawl. After just a few minutes, he couldn’t resist opening his eyes slightly.
Unfortunately, he was still caught by Min Zhi, “Are you done pretending?”
Fang Fengzhi couldn’t pretend any longer, and fearing that Min Zhi would punish him, he spoke up gloomily, “I can’t sleep.”
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”
Fang Fengzhi shook his head. “I don’t want to sleep alone.”
Min Zhi’s heart softened completely. How was he getting better and better at acting spoiled?
He got into bed and pulled Fang Fengzhi into his arms. Smelling his pheromones, Fang Fengzhi felt much more comfortable and pressed himself tightly against him.
During pregnancy, an Omega craves their partner’s pheromones intensely; besides themselves, the child in their womb also needs sustenance. Previously, this reaction hadn’t been very obvious, but as the months passed and the child grew, his need for Min Zhi’s pheromones increased.
He inhaled the gunpowder-scented air obsessively while held in Min Zhi’s arms, his body writhing until he gradually sank back beneath the quilt. The pheromones inside were so dense that he wanted to hide himself within them.
Min Zhi didn’t move. He looked down, watching his Omega crawl under the covers with an obsessed expression and then seemingly fall into a drunken stupor without making no further sound. Just as he was about to pull him out, the flesh between his legs was suddenly grasped.
Min Zhi’s brow furrowed slightly, then he heard a muffled voice from under the quilt: “It’s so strong…”
Fang Fengzhi’s mind was hazy. After an entire day without Min Zhi’s pheromones, he felt a deep emptiness, not only in his body but a weighty ache pressing on his heart as well. The moment he dove under the covers and took a sharp breath, his entire body heated up.

When Fang Fengzhi was fully awake the next morning, he was startled seeing the red marks on his neck in the mirror; he hadn’t felt it at the time, but now they looked harsh, and even high-collared clothes couldn’t conceal them.
Fang Fengzhi glanced at him. This wasn’t the first time Min Zhi had done such a thing; he always engaged in extreme behavior in bed. Min Zhi applied a wet towel to him, and seeing Fang Fengzhi’s gaze, he kissed his ear and explained, “I couldn’t help myself.”
“This is very dangerous…” He had actually seen news reports about couples getting too excited and strangling someone to death.
Min Zhi gave a deep laugh. “Don’t be afraid. I didn’t use full strength; I only did it to make you feel good.” Just the right amount of violence, in fact, allowed both parties to feel pleasure.
Seeing him look down, Min Zhi embraced him from behind: “You climaxed too, didn’t you?”
The instant of pleasure following suffocation was indeed incomparable, but Fang Fengzhi was still somewhat afraid and did not want to indulge in it, so he pretended not to hear: “You need to hurry, or you’ll be late for work.”
Min Zhi stopped teasing him and took the towel down, “I’ll stay home with you; I won’t be going in from now on.”
“Why?”
“I don’t feel at ease leaving you.”
From that day until two months postpartum, Min Zhi stayed home to take care of him.
