The bar was still as lively as ever. Mo An returned to where he had been watching the dancers. First, he looked around, scanning the room from front to back and from left to right. His gaze slid over the tops of everyone’s heads.

He was looking for that pair of light-colored little bear ears.

He saw all of it—singing, dancing, drinking—except Mi Dou. Logically, he should have been easy to spot. After all, when Mo An had dragged him out of the laboratory, he had still been wearing a white coat. How did he disappear into the sea of people in an instant?

With no other choice, Mo An had to bother Jingwei again. He spoke to the wristband: “Jingwei, locate my position and help me find Mi Dou.”

Jingwei: [Accessing cameras… access completed. My God, Mo An, why did you come here again? Haven’t you watched enough?]

Mo An could only admit, “I came to find Mi Dou. It’s not like I enjoy watching dancing that much.”

The door to Kunlun was a pale silver cabin door with two robotic security guards standing at the entrance.

“Open the door,” Mo An ordered.

“Then open the door. My friend is inside.” Mo An examined the door. The brilliant metal was crafted with the utmost precision, glowing with light while retaining a rocky texture. Its color resembled that of the Kunlun Mountains, and it even had quartzite-like patterns.

A door of this weight and quality—he could probably not force his way through it.

The robot’s indicator light brightened. [Sorry, Commander Mo An. SVIP requires a special password or customer facial information to open. To guarantee every guest’s experience, we cannot open it without authorization.”

“Hey, I’m just going in to find someone.” Mo An said after thinking for a moment. “Do I need to notify Nuwa?”

The robot nodded. “Please contact Nuwa. She can directly issue an order for us to open the door. That way, we won’t get scolded either.”

“You robots are afraid of being scolded? You annoy me every day.” With no other option, Mo An raised his wrist again. “Jingwei, help me contact your boss and open Kunlun’s door! Investigate who’s inside. Someone actually dared to abduct Mi Dou in my work territory!”

Jingwei: [Okay, give me 10 seconds.]

“Find your mom? You really are surprising me.” Boden looked down at him and twisted one of his bear ears.

“You’re robbing me…” Mi Dou protested softly.

“Yes, I am robbing you. What can you do about it?” Boden smiled.

Mi Dou raised his voice again. “You’re shameless! You…you…you thick-skinned!”

“Yes, I am shameless and thick-skinned. What can you do?” Boden casually opened a wine case and took out an expensive bottle of red wine. “Tell me about your situation. I’m very interested.”

Mi Dou stopped speaking. Boden casually poured him a glass. “Try it.”

“I’m not trying it. Your wine has poison in it,” Mi Dou refused.

“My wine is sweet, after all I’m also a bear, I can’t drink anything too bitter or too sour.” Boden became serious. “I really brought you here because I want to study you. What’s going on with you? Why are you so short?”

As soon as he finished speaking, the hatch door of the “Kunlun” private room lifted upward. Along with the sound of the door opening, a figure rushed toward them in an instant — fierce and agile. Turning around, Mi Dou found himself blocked in.

Mi Dou looked up, his nose almost turning sour. “Mo An, why did you only come now? He wanted to eat me! He threatened and intimidated me, saying I had to pay sixty-five million!”

“What? What costs sixty-five million? Did you blow up the building?” Mo An’s mood shifted from confusion to hostility. His gaze blazed as he looked at the tall man opposite him. “Who are you? Why did you kidnap my friend?”

“Mo An … I think I’ve heard your name before. I’m now very interested in all of you.” Boden stretched out his hand for an introduction. “Hello, I am Boden Yun, Qingyao City’s specially invited researcher, hired at great cost. Mistakes in love must be resolved immediately; you can’t let Xia Yu overthink it.”

Lao Gui indeed said: “No.”

“No problem. I’ve already been taken care of very well by all of you.” Boden said this and glanced at Mi Dou.

Mi Dou rubbed the ear he had pinched red and hid behind Xiang Xing.

“I heard your research is related to energy?” Xia Yu still did not know what the issue was between Mi Dou and him. “That’s great! Our Qingyao City needs an expert like you.”

“No, no. Helping Qingyao City means helping the world. Some people never understand that the world is integrated—we only have one planet to survive on.” Boden was very friendly and polite toward Xia Yu. “You are much younger than I imagined. I didn’t expect you to be…this small.”

Little bear? Mi Dou? Xia Yu looked at Mi Dou in confusion.
